Wales
Back to United Kingdom List
Cobb is Welsh. This was my 6 or 7th trip to Wales over the years. Original trips where for travel books. I will add in images from the past as I scan them in from the slides.
It is a magical place. The scenery is just breath taking. It was easy to just stand a gaze at the vast views. Plenty of sheep to go around. Great fun to revisit places that I spent time in years ago. The people are so friendly and easy to get to know.
A friend and myself were hill walking along a sheep path, when a lady and her dog came in our direction. We asked about where best to eat and she kindly invited us to her home. Following her back to her charming home we engaged in conversation for a little while and her husband joined us. The look on his face when he came down the steps was priceless. Finding 2 Americans in your house isn't your normal Sunday morning experience. Lovely people, Thank you.
From high up on the cliffs to the farther west points of St David's Head and the Irish Sea through windy roads and of the Brecon Beacons National Park and Elan Valley, it is a fabulous country. I am ready for the next trip back.
Please note if anyone knows better on the horses, please let me know, I would like to keep everything as correct as possible.
